Technical Information

Like all Celtic speakers the Legend is active, with power amplifiers in each enclosure, one for each driver. Together with Celtic's proprietary processing and active crossovers, the Legend sets a new standard in appreciation of recorded sound.

Phase accuracy is maintained across the critical frequency range, including the cross-over. The acoustic centres of the drivers are in line and their output is acoustically mixed as it leaves the enclosure, eliminating any timing errors. Unlike most low frequency drivers, Celtic's new 150mm system, using a light, rigid, cone and Neodymium magnets has an unsurpassed speed and accuracy. The crisp, clean reproduction of timpani and other transients has to be heard to be believed.
