Celtic Cameo Technology
Monitoring sound in equipment racks and other confined
spaces has, until now, compromised quality by the use of available
compact drive units, usually designed for portable radio and similar
applications.
Celtic’s Cameo technology brings a major step forward in
quality by the use of specially designed mid/low frequency speakers
that take advantage of modern materials to provide an unique combination
of large cone area and a depth of as little as 1 1/4" (30mm).
The LSA-180 is designed for use in 1U (1.75”) rack enclosures.
The use of Neodymium magnets in an innovative magnetic circuit
together with a large diameter aluminium voice coil makes for
high efficiency and sound pressure level never previously thought
possible from 1U.
For 2U (3.5”) enclosures, the LSA 185 uses similar principles
but has a greater cone excursion resulting in even higher SPL
and good low frequency response.
When used with Celtic’s newly developed switched-mode amplifiers
and their proprietary active cross over and signal processing,
a smooth frequency and more important, phase response is obtained.
The entire system can be operated from a 12V DC power supply.
TSL Professional Broadcast Products are the first company to
take advantage of this technology in products now being delivered.
The AMU-1CD accepts Analogue, AES and Serial digital (270Mb/s)
inputs. As well as accurate sound, the AMU has precise 26 element
bar graph metering. The input being monitored is available as
an output, which may be selected to be fixed line level or varied
according to the volume control setting. An output of either Digital
video or PAL/NTSC is also provided.
This advanced design from Celtic is expected to extend into a
range of surround sound capable products.
Celtic Audio Ltd welcomes enquiries from interested OEM partners
who wish to benefit from these developments.
